Location

IDP-ShipYard

The shipyard is located at the "Fisheries Dock" in Oostende, behind just one lock (maximum length of vessels 90 m, width 15,30 m, depth 7,5 m), and as such easily accessible by waterway. Shipyard IdP is easily accessible by road, and is located within reach of the railway station and the Oostende airport.


Drydocking facilities

35 m x 13,5 m : Shipyard IDP owns a ship lift with a platform length of 35 m (with the possibility to lift longer vessels), maximum ship width 13,5 m, maximal draught 5,2 m. Lifting capacity: 1000 tonnes. Drydocked vessels can be transferred to the large assembly hall to work in sheltered conditions.
80 m x 18 m : Larger vessels can be lifted on the large synchro lift in the Port of Oostende. Maximum capacity: 1750 ton. Length of platform: 80 m ; width: 18 m. Maximum draught of vessel: 5 m. A rail system allows the transfer of ships to several working platforms.


Private quay (150 m) and workshops.

Our shipyard has fully equipped workshops for plate working, piping, mechanics. Our large construction hall (length 55 m, width 20 m, height 14 m) is connected with our drydocking lift. This allows indoor ship repairs and maintenance. Mobile workshop equipment allows efficient on-site operations in the port.
