IDP-Shipyard has invested and implemented sustainable procedures and processes so that sustainability has become part of IDP-shipyards DNA.
We are constantly looking to improve our way-of-work by optimising our machinery trough electrification but also by investing in systems to optimise the energy efficiency of our main consumers such as our synchro lift use of lighting etc. We are looking to a future way of using less fresh water to clean out clients’ vessels. We are hoping to realise this in the upcoming period.
At IDP-Shipyard we are not only users and creators of our own sustainability, but we are also proud, through our clients to be part of an ecosystems that really makes the difference in decarbonisation but also in safeguarding our coast the wildlife in our North Sea and protecting the critical infrastructures at sea.
Having adopted sustainability in our shipyards DNA we have in several projects contributed to the decarbonisation of a number of work boats such as the conversion to IMO Tier III standards, the conversion to a methanol propelled tugboat the conversion of a hydrogen tug boat, the maintenance of a Hydrogen crew transfer vessel, the maintenance of hybrid propelled vessels, to name a few.
IDP-Shipyard is ready to also keep your sustainable vessels sailing!
At IDP-Shipyard we have defined the word sustainable in its broadest possible way. Our human capital in vital in our day to day successes.
In that respect we believe also that people with less abilities earn a place in our story. For that reason and in cooperation with specialised organisations we often provide a workplace in our team for someone with a mental disability thus providing this person with meaningfulness.
Connecting with our local community is achieved not only by making our local community part of the supply chain but also returning to the community by participating in cultural and theatre festivals.
